I can't play any Metallica song.
Spotify says "this song is not available".
I tried everything and I also tried reinstalling Spotify.
Just Metallica songs won't play in any way.
What's the matter?
Solved! Go to Solution.
This is an issue with 1.0.65.
If I run the installer for 1.0.64 then the issue is fixed and all artists' songs are playable again.
All your suggestions do nothing to fix the issue as the issue is idiots at Spotify who put out a **bleep**ty update that makes random artists' songs unplayable.
Hey @MarcoBux
I'd give one more go on the reinstall, just before reinstalling the app again, go to %appdata% and check both Local and Roaming, if the Spotify folders are removed. If not, remove them.
Other methods that could work:
1: Turn high quality streaming off
2: Change default playback device to your computer speakers.
3: Reinstall your audio drivers.
4: Check your local files, this error message can also be caused by corrupt MP3s or tracks that Spotify cannot find. Remove all local file sources (edit > preferences > local files > toggle all folder options to "OFF")
(Local files cache is also in %appdata%, in Roaming\Spotify\Users\1234567-user folder, and it's named local-files.bnk, deleting this will definitely remove any local file from Spotify.)
Hopefully something will work for you!

Same problem here! Spotify please fix this ASAP!
6 hours later - still can't play Metallica and now Nirvana too. :@
Hey all!
I suggest going to this thread and posting details about your system and the issue there.
Methods that work against the issue (as far as I know) are:
1. installing an older client
2. making a new user
Hopefully it gets addressed soon!
