How to fix the cache on drive C issue

Lots of people have complained that the cache defaults to the C drive, which may be a small SSD. The app provides an option to set it somewhere else, but apparently it only applies to downloaded music, not the main playing cache, which still goes back to the C drive. Here's a fix for a PC: create a symbolic link.

Quit spotify.

Delete the Data folder in the cache on C drive

Create a Data folder where you want it on another drive

Open a CMD window with admin privilege

mklink /d "C:\path to your cache folder\Data" "path to your desired cache"

restart Spotify, should now write to your preferred location
