Hi! Just got my Mac and Spotify was the very first thing I set up—as I was playing around with the Touch Bar in the app, I realized the scrubbing bar indicated exactly where I was in the music in real-time—however, I can't control my music with it. It doesn't respond to my touch (but it does in other apps)—it just keeps going forward. Play/pause/skip buttons work fine, but the scrubbing function doesn't seem to exist.
Is this right?

Hey @marpreston29,
Thanks for the screenshots!
Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.
Let me know how this goes!
Hey @marpreston29, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I am checking out the Spotify app on my MacBook as well, and I am not seeing an option to scrubble...
Can you attach a picture or recording of what you're seeing on your end so I can take a closer look? Also, you have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020 correct?
Looking out for your reply!
Hi Billy-J!
Yep, you're right about the laptop model!
Anyways, I can't take a recording of the Touch Bar, but here's a screenshot of both the Touch Bar and the Spotify app at around the same time. Assume the progress bar is moving and/or pausing at the same time as it moves/pauses on the actual Spotify app.
Hope this clarifies a bit! 🙂

So, turns out restarting my device was enough to fix it 😛 Wasn't expecting to restart my Mac so soon after opening it up, haha! I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to respond to my touch to begin with.
The scrubbing bar responds to my touch now, though! (image below)
Thank you so much!!!
Hey @marpreston29,
