My Question or Issue

The Spotify desktop app began crashing intermittently today. It will open, login, and begin playing music, but will crash typically after at least 2-3 minutes and before 10 minutes. The crash always comes at the end either a song or ad.

I have played with every setting. I have DEFINITELY followed ALL of the un-install/re-install steps here, including removing all Spotify-related files in my /~Library/ directory.

I have tried removing/disabling software that relies heavily on launch daemons (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office), and even signed out of my Apple ID. I've tried repairing permissions across my user home directory. I've tried removing ALL preferences and cache files. Nothing.

I'm attaching some screen shots from the Console. Hopefully someone has an idea.

It seems like I may have found a solution (at least, for now). I'm posting in hopes it helps someone else.

I deleted and recreated my entire user profile and started turning things back on one at a time. This issue started almost as soon as I signed back into OneDrive (for Business). Microsoft...go figure.

Anyway, I disabled their "Files On-Demand" option (screen shot provided)...as it was already doing some weird stuff with file permissions. Though, my old machine didn't have a large disk, so it was somewhat helpful (but always a little buggy).

I also turned off the two "Local Files" options in Spotify..."Downloads" and "My Music".

Spotify has been working ok ever since. Hopefully this can be chalked up to too many apps rolling out "super cool" new features that aren't super battle tested. Fingers crossed.
