[Mac] Spotify version 0.9.0.128 ridiculously slow

Spotify was working great for a while, after a bunch of problems in the past. Now, since the update to version 0.9.0.128 the performance has gone downhill again. Starting the app takes from 4 to 8 minutes on both my MacBook Pro (2.2GHz Intel Core i7 w/ 8GB Ram) and my iMac (2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 w/ 4GB Ram). And when it's finally started and I can play some music the app constantly uses between 12% and 16% CPU, whether it's playing, paused, minimized or closed. 

Also the app is causing a bunch of console errors while starting up:

I've canceled my subscription in the past because of bad performance, please don't make me do that again because I really love Spotify but  the way it's running now it's more of a nuisance than anything else.

I have this problem since two or three months. But the latest build really kills the performance.

Same issue.  It works fine once it's up and running, but takes forever to start.

Nevermind..as I was posting this, I was also starting up Spotify and it presented me with an update to 0.9.0.133, seems it's fixed in this version 🙂

Updated to latest version on both my iMac and MacBook Pro. Starting Spotify is still slow as hell. I'm currently looking for an alternative music streaming service because the value of this product is nowhere near the €10 I pay each month.

Guess what. No replies, suggestions or sollutions and the app is still slow as hell. I've exported all my Spotify playlists, cancelled my account and moved to Deezer.
