Media keys no longer work mac

My Question or Issue

 The other week the media keys worked just fine in spotify, being able to change or play/pause a song. However, they no longer work.

When going to the playback tab the keys that perform the actions have been changed and I don't understand why?

Could you send us your Spotify version numbers? Also, have you tried logging out and back in to the app? Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

I've been having the same problems, its very annoying and I'd like to know if there's any way I could fix it?

You can also try reinstalling Spotify on your desktop as a troubleshooting step.
