Open links in desktop app

Hello,

I would like to solve this small issue. Each time I click on a Spotify link (at web pages, email body, etc.), the Web Player is opened. For instance, this kind of a link:

https://open.spotify.com/artist/7xtwaIP9g8objfjAIF2Esq?si=rIUKoQqBQQaU401D-Np0FA

But I would prefer to use my Spotify desktop app instead. Is it possible either to force my Mac to open links in the app automatically or at least click some "open this page in the desktop app" button at the web player?

Hey Filip,

I've been struggling with this as well, but I've found a workaround for it. If you receive a open.spotify url from someone, you can copy it and paste the link in the search field on your Spotify desktop app. This will take you straight to the playlist/song.

Yes, you are right, I do this sometimes. I was just looking for a little more convenient solution. 🙂 . But thanks anyway.
