Hi all...

How do Playlists work with Spotify ? Under 'My Music' ..   Does it upload songs/tracks to spotify, or do they stay on the local machine, which would mean your computer must be on if u someone wants to listen to them from Spotify ?

Hello there and welcome to the community,

1 - All the playlists made with Spotify library can be listened by everyone as long as they are public or if you send directly to friend the playlist link. They are stocked on Spotify servers.. (you don't need to keep your computer on)

2 - In the section "Your music" : if you have songs in the folder "local files" (e.g your own mp3s) they are not uploaded on Spotify servers. They keep as local on your computer and only you can listen it.
