Shared Playlist Shows Up Empty

I specifically upgraded to Spotify Premium so that I could share iTunes playlists with my yogs students. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts, the links I send to them continually turn up as empty playlists! When I open my own account, the same playlist contains 17 songs. What the heck am I doing wrong?? (The playlist is public, not private. What else can I do to troubleshoot?)
