Spacing issue with new layout when app is fullscreen

My Question or Issue

A recent app update introduced a new sectioned layout. When the app is fullscreen, this layout doesn't take into account the lack of a macOS title bar, so there is extra padding at the top of the layout. See attached screenshot.

My Question or Issue

In fullscreen on my Macbook Spotify does not fit the screen fully. It appears that it's still formatted for the older Macbook Airs with a smaller vertical screen size. In fullscreen the app leaves this very annoying black bar at the top of the screen where it could simply fill to fit the screen. As all MacBooks in the lineup now come with this 'notch' display it would be really nice to have it fit the screen so that all screen real estate can be utilized!!
