Spotify App on Mac won't load music

Solved!

Spotify App on Mac won't load music

Spotify Free

Country: Italy

Device: MacBook Pro 2017/18

OS: Mojave 10.14

My Question:

I haven't been using Spotify for at least a year on my MacBook. Yesterday I uninstalled and re-installed it, and now I have a big issue: I cannot load any kind of music. I choose a track, and nothing happens. The play button doesn't work, the album cover isn't showed, there is no music to hear.

Therefore, after the re-installation process I cannot see any of my playlists. I tried to look for them on my smartphone and they are still there.

I have already re-installed the app but nothing changed. I tried to follow some guides on the Internet about deleting the cache and so on, but nothing really changed. I have already tried to restart the MacBook.

Ok I found a solution:

you have to go to the folder /private/etc/hosts on mac (through sudo nano /private/etc/hosts on the terminal) and delete all the lines under #Spotify ips blocked.

Do not delete the lines before the # about Spotify.

It worked for me.

That's the same for me.

I cannot load my favourite tracks playlist, too.

Hope this is an issue for OS Mojave 😕
