Spotify app stops automatic play if you manually adjust or forward to another song

My Question or Issue

If I'm in a playlist or allowing Spotify to continue the playing similar music, and I decide to either manually adjust the song (bring it back to the beginning or another section), or just forward to the next song, at the end of the current song, the app just stops any automatic forward to the next selection.

This is really annoying, and I've noted this issue for several releases of the app, so I imagine someone knows there's a bug.

Anyone else experience this problem?

I just tested on Windows, but I wasn't able to reproduce this. Do you have Crossfade enabled in the app's settings? If so, try disabling it temporarily to see if that helps. Something else that's worth trying is performing a clean reinstall of the app.

Should the issue persist, could you let us know if you've noticed this with specific playlists or songs (like local files, for example)? There's currently an ongoing issue where local files stop at 0 seconds after every song, which is currently being investigated, feel free to check it out if that's what you're experiencing.

In any case, a short screen recording which captures the exact behavior in action would be greatly appreciated. If you're unable to attach it here in your reply, you can instead upload it as an unlisted YouTube video or to Google Drive - just make sure the file is accessible by anyone with the link.
