Spotify ignores SOCKS proxy for device discovery

Spotify servers are blocked on my network, so I configure the software settings to use a SOCKS 5 tunnel over SSH. While the application itself works, device discovery, for example, my Android phone, does not work.

When I connect to a network where Spotify servers are open, it works.
After looking at the network traffic, it turns out that requests to gew4-dealer.g2.spotify.com are escaping the proxy configured in the Spotify software settings and connecting to the Internet directly.

To prove this, when I used the option in the software settings, in the https://www.proxifier.com/ software instead of the option in the software settings, to redirect Spotify traffic through the proxy, the above address was also correctly routed through the tunnel and device discovery started working again even on networks where Spotify servers are blocked.
