now playing won't show up

my "now playing" thing won't show up in the bottom left hand corner. it's jsut a black screen and it says spotify in both places whre it should have the name of the artist and the name of the song. is there any way i can fix this?

Try to uninstall and reinstall Spotify by following tutorial below.
