My Question or Issue

I had issued with my desktop app not being able to play podcasts - just musics.

I did a complete wipe of cache, still did not work.

Did a complete uninstall and then reinstalled from spotify.com - now I get this error message and I can't log in. Everything works fine in browser and on my iPhone. 

 

Error message:
"No internet connection detected"  (Error code: accesspoint: 31)

Hey @Hhhf,

 

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for the troubleshooting you've done so far.

 

As a next step, can you please try the following:

  • Check your firewall and make sure Spotify is whitelisted.
  • Remove all Spotify entries from your hosts file.
  • Uninstall any ad-blocker apps.
  • If possible, try connecting your laptop to the internet via a mobile hotspot. Should the app work through it, consult with your router's manufacturer.
  • If you're on a non-personal device or network (student laptop, student network, corporate laptop, corporate network) get in touch with the administrator for more help.
