Advanced Settings to open weblinks with app is missing in Windows App

Hi all
Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.65.255.g85e641b4 seems to be missing Advanced Settings, in which one supposedly can set the Windows App to open web links. Tried Re-installing the app already, to no avail. Older versions of Spotify seemed to have such a setting.

I tried seaerching for play, url and open using the settings search function, but failed to find a respective setting to allow opening web links with the Windows desktop app.

Any ideas on how to get the app to open web links?

Thanks for your feedback regarding this. Spotify is constantly updating, always testing new features and changes. It is possible that this is one of those changes.

Hey @robomat,

Opening weblinks should bring up a browser pop-up, asking you if you wish to open the desktop app or remain on the Web Player.

This, however, is a browser setting and not a Spotify one. Depending on your browser, I'd advise taking a look into your saved settings for website behaviours and see if there's anything set for Spotify.

Alternatively, you can try switching your browser to a different one to see if that would make a difference.
