My Question or Issue

see image. The 3 arrows on the right point to tracks not listened to nor skipped, they were added by Spotify without interaction from me. It seems to happen whenever there is an poster ad / image shown (4th arrow points to the green ad).

It seems to have started after the Windows MS Store update for VP9 video extension update which I got yesterday and can't find any way to uninstall or to find a way to restore or re-install.

So I'm stuck with this buck which also seems to cause to present a lot more ads (but than in the song-queue at the right). Spotify seems to think I've listened to a lot more songs than I actually did and plays a lot more ads.

It looks like either VP9 video extension causes a bug or has a bug or Spotify does not respond correctly to this update.

Hello @e-clect-eddy!

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. I'll try to help you out.

I'd recommend you try having a clean reinstall of the Spotify app. This is a bit more in depth than a regular reinstall, but it can help solve issues related to cached or corrupted files. I'd also recommend making sure that your account is secure, if you think it's possible someone else gained access to your account and is playing these song, I'd recommend checking out this Support article for the next steps to take.

Hope this helps and keep me posted!
