Back and forward buttons not showing up on lyrics page

My Question or Issue

As seen in the attached screenshot, the back and forward navigation buttons don't show up when I view the lyrics of a song. Therefore I can't conveniently go back to the playlist I'm playing it from and must use alt-left arrow to navigate. Is this a bug?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

On the desktop app, you can open a hide the lyrics by clicking on the "mic" button. If you're displaying the lyrics and want to go back, you just need to hit the Mic button again to gray it out and hide the lyrics view.

On the other hand, in the screenshot you sent we can see the back and forward navigation buttons on the now playing bar below the lyrics. However, if you're referring to the full screen view and you don't have those buttons there, it could be related to some damaged cache stored on your PC.

In that case, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, include a screenshot where we can see the buttons missing, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to have a better picture of the issue.

No, back and forward buttons dissapeared , this buttons show on every screen (artist, home, queue) and on lyrics used to be as well.

Could you let us know which troubleshooting steps you've already tried? That way we can avoid repeating any steps.

First up, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to check if that makes the difference. 

If the issue persists, we'd recommend reinstalling the app by following the steps @OscarDC sent previously. 

On another note, could you check if the same happens on the web player? 

If you're still experiencing this, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy (if you haven't sent this info yet).
