Being unable to do anything about Spotify on start up is ridiculous

What the **bleep**, Spotify? Why does it open on startup if I have it disabled through the app and Windows itself? It really looks like something a malicious program would do, it's so ridiculous. Why can't you give a real opt-out option for this? The settings that are already there are useless. I pay for the app and it annoys me every time I turn on my PC, this is not normal or satisfactory. Fix it. It's such an unfriendly practise towards customers.

Hey @Nokijuxas

That's weird!

I disabled Spotify on Startup (just in msconfig, didn't change anything in Spotify itself) and it remains closed when I reboot.

Checked the Preferences, and it's apparently set to No.

Anyway, in msconfig (Windows logo + R, enter msconfig) there are two instances of Spotify that I have disabled. There is a third instance that appeared after that, it's a SpotifyHelper thread that will launch Spotify when you click some Spotify buttons on the web.

You may have to double check what is allowed in msconfig - Startup.

Keep me posted. 🙂
