My Question or Issue

When I cast to Google Home, then use the desktop client, the song title in the volume banner no longer matches.

sometimes you have to close all your apps and do a restart to get it back to sync

Did a full restart; the client synced up immediately, but the volume banner still shows the same song. Everything else still works; remote volume/play/pause etc, but the client isnt updating Windows on the currently playing song

you can also try a force stop from the app setting to fix the problem .

try  doing a manual powering of  the devices off for 30 seconds and restarting the devices
