Can no longer download and play playlists with local files on iPhone

So this has annoyed me for quite a while now; I used to be able to easily download and play playlists containing local files from Spotify on my computer on my Spotify app on my iPhone. But some time last year the feature dissapeared for me. 

I used to first import playlist from iTunes to Spotify on my computer, then download playlist. Then I would find the playlist on my iPhone and download it to play my local files, quite simply. Now when I find playlists containing local files on my iPhone they appear empty with just a question "Want to add songs to this playlist?". 

Help?

EDIT: Seems like I`m in the wrong forum. There's a similar thread in the iPhone forum, didn't see that one before it was too late.
