Can no longer see friends under Monthly Listeners

Can no longer see friends under Monthly Listeners

For some reason, today the friends that appeared under the "Monthly Listeners" statistic on every artists' page have suddenly disappeared and I can't see them for any artist whatsoever. Has this feature been taken off?

Same.

It's probably a bug. Having said that, the way Spotify like to remove features their users like, it woudn't surprise me if it was part of their master plan to move people over to a different platform.

Hey folks,

We’re here to let you know we've retired the feature showing your which of your friends listen to an artist on our Artist Profiles.

Of course, we always take retiring features in Spotify very seriously. We'll continue putting energy into new ways of sharing music discoveries with your friends on Spotify.

Please post here with any questions or feedback you might have. We’ll be sure it reaches the right teams.

Thanks!

But this is literally the opposite of what you do. Every other platform with a social element tries to make itself more sticky by leveraging network effects but Spotify seems to be trying to rid itself of all social interactions.

There's basically no advantage to following friends and that means there are no barriers to switching to a different service. Such a bizarre and counter-productive strategy.

meridtih i think you messed up here! I loved this feature. Just being honest with you.
