My Question or Issue

I have 2 playlist of songs from local files (Playlist added from Local Files, not the "Local Files" playlist)

I cannot add any of the song from said playlists to another playlist.

I can however, still add "online" songs to the playlist.

The "local files" are not corrupted or anything, I can still play them normally in their existing playlist. I just can't add them to any other playlists.

Hi there @Megarboh!

You should be able to add local files to other playlists by right-clicking the song > Add to playlist. Do you see the option on your end? Note that if you have Smart Shuffle toggled on, any local files you have in the playlist will become temporarily hidden, so make sure the feature is deactivated. You can also try adding the songs from the Local files folder instead from the playlist to see if that does the trick.

In any case, a screenshot or a short screen recording which shows how things look on your end would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers 🤘

The problem was "Smart Shuffle".

Strange that the "Add new ones only?" pop up doesn't appear for duplicate songs when smart shuffle is on. So from my view it appeared that nothing happened when I click on "Add to playlist".

Thanks for the solution.

Glad I could help @Megarboh 😎

My Question or Issue

I'm a musician and have quite a few songs that I have added to Spotify through my Local Files folder. When I try to add them to a playlist, Spotify tells me the songs were added, but when I look on the playlist, they have not been added. Yes, they are my own playlists. Yes, I have done a fresh install. No, the playlist is not public.
