My Question or Issue

When adding songs to a playlist there used to be a helpful option to only add the songs that aren't already there. In the new update however the duplicate songs just get added without warning, making the creation of new playlists much, much harder. I don't know if this a bug, I've just reinstalled but the problem persists. I've also looked the issue up here but found nothing helpful. Please let me create new playlists again.

Hey @greenyuyu, in my experience I don't get the duplicate warning if I try to add a song while the playlist is open, but it works if adding a track from a different section of the app. For example, if I'm looking at an artist's page, and use the right click context menu or drag the song to the playlist in the left-hand sidebar, Spotify gives me a warning if the track already exists on that playlist. I hope that workaround will help make things a little easier for you for the time being.

Please be sure to check out this blog post regarding the new app and add your feedback there as well, as that will ensure this gets to the right people at Spotify who are monitoring that particular thread very closely.

Hi @dinomight, thanks for your reply!
I've tried that and yes, it works, but unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem. I need to have the playlist open so that I can paste in all the songs with CTRL+A, because i want to add dozens or hundreds of songs at a time.
But I'll leave my feedback on the blog post you linked, so thanks again!
