Just wondering if the music quality settings have been removed from the Windows 10 desktop app and the current android build of Spotify? I've not checked my settings for a while until today when I reinstalled Spotify on my Windows laptop, where previously we could adjust the streaming quality and download quality for each device the option no longer appears to be available. If this is the case can I ask what the default options are now set to?
Thanks for any help,
Olly

Hey @Ollyjm
As you're asking about the kbps on desktop client, here they are:
With high quality enabled its 320kbps (ogg);
With high quality disabled it's 160kbps (ogg);
Downloading quality is 320kbps (ogg).
I suggest reading this article for more information on audio settings. 🙂
Hope that helps, have a nice day!
For me, the "music quality" setting on desktop is found as the second tab under "settings", just beneath "language", using version 1.1.0.237.g378f6f25 .
On android, for me it is found further down, just beneath "Waze navigation", using version 8.4.94.817
I had an issue recently that is most likely unrelated: the "home tab" disappeared for me for some weeks until I re-installed spotify (spotify displayed the same version before and after re-installing), so maybe if it's missing it's related to the same bug where stuff disappear? That is, if you didn't just overlook it somehow.
Good luck with finding it (or finding a fix).
Managed to find the option for it on android where it used to be. But I've still had no luck finding the setting on the desktop version (1.1.0.237.g378f6f25). Even in the music quality settings there doesn't appear to be a way to check what the streaming quality is or the downooad quality in terms of kbps?
Thanks for the reply though.

Thanks that's what I was looking for in the app itself.
Cheers
