Spotify CPU usage reaches ~50% when logged in and online. Offline mode doesn't provoke the CPU leak, but Spotify will not accept any connection from a VPN. I've deleted and reinstalled everything Spotify multiple times (including caches, etc). Upon a new installation, CPU usage is normal until logging in. However, if I start the app with my Ethernet unplugged and enable offline mode, I can plug my internet back in and continue to use Spotify while the app is in offline mode with no issues.. aside from the fact that it is of course offline. Is there anything that can be done on Spotify's end?
