How can I set up Spotify to not stop playing?

Is there a way to set up Spotify to run independently from other devices, or change settings so that it does not stop playing no matter what might happen with other apps, screen locks, etc? For example, I will be listening to Spotify on my desktop computer and it will stop playing because an alarm on my cell phone goes off.

No worries, this can happen because your devices are synced by Connect. In this case, to avoid that happening, you can close the app on your phone while you're listening to your content on the PC.
