How do you add songs midway through a playlist?

My Question or Issue

Whenever I drag and drop a track to a playlist on the new desktop app, it reverts to the top of the playlist, regardless of where I was in the playlist previously. The only way to add a song to a specific point midway through a playlist seems to be to drag it down, which is really slow on the new version. It used to be possible to scroll down a playlist and find the right 'slot' for a song (or search for the track already in the playlist you wanted it to follow) and then go find the song to add and then drag it straight to the right place. This was great for long playlists - now I only seem to be able to add to the beginning or end.
