I can't control spotify via my bluetooth speaker

I can't play, pause, or skip songs on the buttons on my JBL Flip 6 speaker or my bluetooth earphones, while connected to Spotify desktop, but they both work fine through my Android phone.

Thanks for reaching out!
We'd first suggest unpairing and re-pairing the Bluetooth devices to your PC to see if that would make a difference.
Should this not help out, see if your Bluetooth drivers are up to date. 

If this doesn't change anything, you can also try to reinstall the drivers. To do so, follow these steps:

Open Device Manager -> select Bluetooth -> right click the Bluetooth adapter name and select Uninstall device. 
Restart your PC, and Windows should try to reinstall the driver.
