I cannot find where to change the playback device.

All the helpful advice on the internet says to click the gear wheel top right, there isn't a gear wheel. All the other buttons, dots, lines and pictures don't lead there either. So desperation leads me here.

You can follow these steps to change your playback device from the app using Spotify Connect:

1. Log into the devices where you want to play
2. Open the now-playing view on your mobile app
3. There should be a device icon right below the shuffle button
4. Click that and it should open your available devices

If it does not work, please share a screen recording of you doing the same, along with your Spotify app version and software information. This will help me take a closer look.
