I turn off hardware acceleration but it keeps turning back on

I click View on the top right and turn off hardware acceleration. It asks me to restart so I do so and when it opens back up it just turns it on again. So I go to the settings page and turn off hardware acceleration and close and reopen Spotify. It turns back on.
