I want to use the app occasionally, but I don't want it to show what I'm listening to on my PC

Solved!

I want to use the app occasionally, but I don't want it to show what I'm listening to on my PC

Once in a while I use the app but mostly listen to Spotify on my PC. But the app has taken over my Android phone! It even covers my wallpaper. (Yes, all I have to do is swipe to get rid of it, but still...)

I don't want to uninstall the app, so is there some way to prevent it from displaying what I am listening to on my PC?

Hey @Relztrah

You should be able to get rid of it by doing the following:

Go to android settings > Lock screen and security > Notifications on lock screen, scroll down to spotify and toggle it off.

A number of users are using a third party lock screen app as well.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks. I have an old phone with Android 5.1 so I didn't follow your instructions exactly, but I did indeed uncheck notifications so I was able to fix it. Thanks.
