My Question or Issue

I have a company provided computer which means i am not admin. To install Spotify you don't have to be admin. So downloaded and installed it.

After running the software i could not get it up and running because we are behind a company proxy.

So i tried uninstalling the software. But no you have to be Admin to uninstall the software. Which means i can not uninstall the program now.

On top of that, everytime i run the sowftware it autostarts. But since i can't either uninstall it or get in to the preferences (can't login because behind a proxy) im now at a catch 22.

How do i solve this with the need to go the company IT guys?

Seriously no one that knows?

Hey @user-removed

Another way to disable autostart is by using Task Manager, if that's possible for non-admins.

Search for Task Manager, go to Startup tab, search for Spotify in the list, right-click on it, select "Disable".

If that doesn't do the trick either, then you'll need IT help at this point. 🙂

If you wish to use Spotify, you can try the web player.

Have a nice day!
