My Question or Issue

Once I start playing any playlist "P", that's all I can play. If I go to an album "A" and click Play, "P" continues. If I click on the first (or any) song in "A" and click Play on that song I get only that song, the next song will be the next song in "P" not "A".

Web app has the same issue.

Hello @garyglas

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

It sounds like you have some songs added to your queue and it jumps back to it after the first song you play from the other playlist.

You can clear your queue by clicking the Queue symbol icon_queue.pngIf there are any songs, you can remove them.

If it doesn't help, or there are too many songs, I'd recommend performing clean reinstall of your Spotify app. Just find your device in this Article and follow the steps provided there.

I hope this helps!

I could verify this hypothesis if I could find the queue. I'm on my phone
now and I'll be damned if I can find the queue (Android).

Hi @garyglas

Sorry for the confusion, I should have mention that in my previous post.

Since you're using Spotify Free on mobile, it won't be possible to open the queue there. It's because on demand playing is not available for Free users on mobile on most of the playlists.

More detail on how Spotify Free works on mobile can be found here.

To check the queue, I'd recommend using your desktop app.

Let me know how it goes!

I can't begin to express how counter-intuitive this UI is. I clicked play on an album. It looks like the album is playing. Except it isn't.

Hey there @garyglas,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you provide us a screen recording? This will help us understand more directly what's going on from your end.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!
