My Question or Issue

I downloaded some songs I bought from an artist on Bandcamp because they (the songs) were not on Spotify. I downloaded them as mp3's and successfully imported them to the local files on Spotify. Spotify does not display the artist name, "𝔫𝔞𝔬𝔪𝔦 𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔦𝔤𝔞𝔱𝔬𝔯", correctly, likely because these odd and not often used unicode characters. The character 𝔫 is call the "mathematical fraktur small n", and has the hexidecimal value 0x1D52B, for your reference. In place of these characters, diamonds with question marks are displayed. I downloaded the songs as MP3 V0 as opposed to MP3 320 because it was the default option, but to my knowledge this shouldn't affect anything.

These songs do play in Spotify (desktop version) if I click the play button or double click them. They are also still selectable (they highlight when clicked upon). However, they have no right click options, that is, when I right click on a track, nothing at all happens (no options menu appears). Likewise when I click the menu option (the three dots), nothing happens. Finally, when I try to drag the track from the local files to one of my playlists, I cannot add it and none of the playlists light up or are surrounded in green (like they are when I drag over other local tracks). The dragging does produce a black slashed circle icon, like other songs, but rather than displaying the track title in a gray rectangle next to the circle (as it does for normal tracks), it displays a much smaller empty gray rectangle. This is the main functionality that I would like resolved, adding these tracks to my personal playlists.

To be clear, other local files, even from the same source file, do work just fine, and have all the functionality I need and expect. Even mp3s from my own recordings work fine.

I am not sure if it is the strange unicode characters, the fact that they were downloaded from Bandcamp, the specific mp3 type, or something else which is causing these problems, but I would certainly like to be able to listen to the songs on the Spotify App (both mobiles and desktop), rather than use the Bandcamp App, especially since I payed for them.

One additional cause that I discovered while trying to zip the songs for this post, is that Windows says that I cannot compress the songs because the file contatins characters that cannot be used in a compressed folder. This happened if it was just an indivual mp3 file, or a folder containing these mp3 files. The file I then tryed to submit was what I directly downloaded from Bandcamp and thus came zipped. That's how I managed to submit the songs despite not being able to compress them myself; however, then I kept getting unexpected errors while trying to post this, so the I removed the zipped folder because the unicode characters seem to be a problem here as well.

Could renaming them possibly be a workaround? I tried renaming the file it did not update on spotifies local files.

Thank you for your help.
