MS Store version of the desktop client for Windows seems to be holding up shutdown and restart

My Question or Issue

For a few days, I was unsure as to why my PC had been stuck on "Restarting" or "Shutting down" when I try to restart or shut down respectively. As I'm a Windows Insider member, I initially thought this was an issue with Windows, and the problem was so bad that I couldn't update, but then I can't remember what I did, but it was finally able to update.
