No internet connection in spotify

Hi Community,

I have 3 android phones and two desktop computers on my LAN and none of them can connect to spotify. I have full internet connection otherwise. I can get spotify to work in some situations as shown below, still it is very frustrating when it doesn't work as it should.

The problem started today 2018-02-02. I have logged out & in, cleard caches, nothing helps.

What I have tried:

1) Connect using my LAN (WIFI and ethernet). Does not work. I get "you are offline" error code 4.

2) Turn on VPN (IPVanish). Then I can connect and play music on the connected device. If I turn off VPN I am still connected to spotify for a while and I can play any songs, then I am back to offline mode again after a few minutes.

3) Turn off WIFI on my phone and connect using 4g. This works for my phone all the time.

4) Connected my desktop computer directly to the internet. This worked the first time I tried it but not the second time.

This makes me think that the problem is either at spotify, my router or my ISP.

It's probably not my router because I have tested two different makes and models, and also direct connection using my desktop, and it made no real difference.

I hope this helps anyone looking for answers.
