My Question or Issue

I get no sound from the desktop app, sometimes when I have recently started the app I get a millisecond of sound when I play a song, but then it goes silent. It then stays silent. This has been ongoing for a couple of days now. 

 

I can listen through the web player, however I would prefer to use the actual app.

Hi @OneByBoo,

This seems to have worked, thanks! I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it through the microsoft store, uninstalled that, then reinstalled the app from the spotify website and I have sound again!

thanks for reaching out!

 

It is sometimes overlooked but reinstalling the Spotify app tends to solve issues within the app.

 

As there a difference between reinstalling and a clean reinstalltion, please make sure to take the steps provided on this help page to do it correctly.
