No way to see the audio quality of the current song?

No way to see the audio quality of the current song?

After the joke how Spotify determines an active internet connection(Link) I switched to Tidal Hifi and I'm really enjoying it, but I still have ~2 weeks left on my Spotify sub.

In Tidal I can see what quality each song has.

Where is the equivalent in Spotify?

I know that I can set the streaming quality, but that offers no information if every song I'll ever play is in that quality, or if the quality between songs varies.

Hey  @p1881

Spotify is uniformally converting every song into 320kbps ogg for desktop/mobile Premium and other formats for web player and free plan . You can get more information on the formats and bitrates Spotify uses in this article (expand "Music quality").

Spotify doesn't have content that are of even higher quality than other content.

For more information how Spotify uses audio files provided by content owners/distributors, check out this Spotify for Artists section. It's intended for artists and mastering engineers, but I feel you'd also like to read further into it. 🙂

Hope this helps, have a nice day!
