Play on desktop and Amazon Echo independently?

Play on desktop and Amazon Echo independently?

How can I play Spotify on my desktop and the Amazon Echo independently? I can't figure out how to stop my desktop from being a remote when somebody asks Alexa to play a song. If that's not possible, I need to disconnect my desktop from that device.

Hey @crimsoncuda

You can play music in one device at a time - when another device you're logged in on gets activated, playback rights are given to that instead and your other devices become 'remote controls'. It's Spotify Connect feature in action. 🙂

You can't disable Spotify Connect, so you'll need to log out of Alexa if you wish to stop your client becoming a remote for the Alexa.

Have a nice day 🙂
