Playback doesn't sync PC to phone (but does the opposite way)

Premium member. Windows 10 and iPhone 5. 

When I'm listening on my phone and I open Spotify on my PC, it shows the current track playing and lets me control resuming it on PC, pause/play etc.

But - more importantly - when I'm playing on my PC and I go somewhere else and open Spotify on my phone and want to resume playing, it doesn't show ANYTHING - it has no knowledge of what the PC is doing. It only ever seems to show the most recent track I played on the iPhone itself. 

Please help. This is very annoying behaviour. I'd like to seamlessly be able to switch between them as I often have to go back and forth from my office to other rooms.

Hey  @raze4daze! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^

That's odd.

I know it sounds dumb, but be sure to check if your app is set into the 'Offline Mode'.

And are both of the devices using the same Wi-Fi network? If not, that could cause these issues.
