Recently played artists not showing up on profile

This is happening to me and a friend, we can both see our own recently played artists but not each others (only public playlists). However we can both see a third friends recently played artists. I've tried enabling and disabling show top artists and publish activity, reloging inbetween changing, but so far nothing has changed it.

I also have the same problem on OSx. I reported this issue to Spotify about three weeks ago. Still no change. I don't know it this is related, but the 'Publish my activity on Spotify' button resets itself to off every time I close the app. I've also tried to log in from a Windows machine and I've had the same problem.
