Remove from favorites

My Question or Issue

I cannot remove some songs from my favorites, i have noticed they are all local files, but i cannot remove them from the favorites tab

Hey @breaker_97, welcome to the Community.

Hope you are having a great time!

To remove those local files please go to Settings and look for Local Files section there.

After you find it just turn the switches off there for any source the local files that are shown in your Spotify app come from. Yours should look like the image attached below 🙂

I only want to remove them from favorites not my other playlists, i click the heart and nothing happens

Well i managed to remove them, however only with my phone, with the pc i could not remove them, i clicked the heart and nothing happened on pc, i also tried highlighting the song and right click to find there was no option to "Remove from favorites as there were on the non-local songs, i managed to remove em from favorites via my phone, it had no problem there, which means i managed to resolve the issue, but i might have found a bug

It did look like your screenshot favorites menu with hearts, it changed back to the old "songs" with check marks now, unsure why the list was the same though

Really happy that you solved it 🙂

Spotify has decided to rall that back at the moment. Don't know if it will make a comeback but you can still have the Following button and + with ✔️ as well.
