Search for songs by year doesn't work

I'm trying to search for songs from a specific year, using the search string

year:1992

I used 1992 as an example.

But I get no results. Neither on an updated Spotify on two different PCs or my android phone. The weird thing is that for example genre:jazz works perfectly, so it isn't a general search failure.

Am I doing something wrong?

That seems a bit odd. Can you send us a screenshot where we can see the search results on your app?

We'd like to take a closer look.

Workaround: Search works using the web client.

I can confirm that web player is a workaround, but I'd like to make it work in app as well.
