Shuffle does not work with liked songs

I cannot use Shuffle or Smart Shuffle with my Liked songs. The Shuffle icon becomes green for a short period of time before going like before.

Is this happening only with the liked songs playlist, or with other albums or playlists as well?

Check if the issue exists on other platforms as well, like the web player, or the mobile app.

This is/was happening for me too on the desktop client (in Linux) of Spotify.

I found that double-clicking the shuffle icon finally enabled shuffling.
(don't dare to try this again as it might have been a one-off success).

Hope this works for other as well.
