Shuffle of large playlists doesn't work properly

My Question or Issue

 I've created some very large playlists that sometimes contain 600 tracks and more. There are also many tracks of a single artist from different albums. I notice that in shuffle play 3 to 4 tracks are often played, sometimes more tracks are played only by this one artist in a row, before one or more tracks of another artist are played. I don't notice this behaviour with smaller playlists. It makes no difference whether I play with Windows or with Android. Are there any tips as to why that might be?
