Songs make crashing/Clipping sound after newest update

My Question or Issue

Since the latest update, every now and then when listening to any song a loud clipping noise occurs and the song timer skips forward about 5 seconds at any random point in the song, it then skips back to the actual time of the song and plays normally again. This happens on every song and is making spotify unusable for me

I have tried reinstalling and restarting my system but this issue has only occured since the latest update
