Songs pause randomly on windows 10

Hello, I am a premium user using the windows 10 version of spotify. Lately, My music has been pausing randomly during any song, whether I have it downloaded or not. It isn't specific to my window size, fullscreen, or minimized. It happens all the time. The song would play for 50-70 seconds then just pause, and I would have to go back in and hit play only for it to pause again. I have not found a solution online and have tried messing with the settings but to no avail.

There can be a few examples for your case, as to why your account suddenly pauses.

• There is something wrong with the Spotify installation on your device- (Have you tried clear reinstalling? The steps are here.)
• You might have forgotten to log out on a different device and a friend or family member is unknowingly listening using your account.

If so, 

1. Change your Spotify password, which you can do here
2. Log your account out from all devices it's logged into, you can do this here

• Perhaps you are in an area with lesser cellular coverage

Find out if lowering the streaming quality helps. If this helps, you'll also save some on your available data. Here's how you can change your audio settings:

Desktop

1. Click the arrow in the top-right corner and select Settings.
2. Under Music Quality, select your preferred settings. You can choose from the audio quality settings in the table in Music quality details below.

• Or an unauthorized party has gained access to your account and is trying to stream music

Can you let us know if this happening only on the Desktop app or on all devices, including the Web player on your PC?

It would also be helpful if you let us know exactly what troubleshooting you've done so far.
