Sound Quality goes down after 15 seconds in a song

Sound Quality goes down after 15 seconds in a song

Hello community, 

I'm using Spotify desktop app in a HP elitebook running Windows 10 at 64 bit.

I have Family plan and my settings are set to maximum sound quality. 

I tried both wifi and land connectivity and my connection is Fiber 300MB.

I used the built-in speakers, on-ear senheiser headphones and in-ear JVC earplugs. same result with any device.

 

i experience a huge quality drop in every song i play at around 15 seconds. 

the song starts ok, but all of a sudden it goes blurred and metallic sound.

 

can you please help me?

Hey there! Thanks for asking.

There is an option which auto change the quality if it detects slow speed in your Internet, make sure to turn it off .And just to confirm, have you tried a clean install of the Desktop App? It solves most issues easily. For more info you can take a look at the guide available here for all the troubleshooting tips. Keep us posted how it goes!
