Spacebar not entering spaces, I've tried many solutions none work

My Question or Issue

 Suddenly spacebar just starts / stops playing music rather than entering a space in the search filed. The search field is the focus. 

I'm using Chrome, this never used to be a problem I've tried:

Ctrl+F5

Shift+Ctrl+R

I've cleared cookies

I've logged out and back in

Nothing's worked, it's incredibly annoying.

This is also happening to me roday. Have also done all of the above and nothing has worked.

Yep, I'm getting the same issue. Windows 7, Chrome Version 70.0.3538.77
